Male Boss vs Female Boss – From Your Experience So Far, Which Do You Prefer To Work With?

Working as a staff under a boss in a company can be a pleasant experience or the other way round.

Personally, I have been opportune to work with both male and female bosses and the experiences differ under each of them.

Working With Female Bosses

Working with female bosses can be very stressful, being a guy working under them they always want to test the level of your masculinity by putting you under plenty work demands.

Many times, the female bosses may feel threatened about your masculinity, they just want to command you or control you all the time and always make you feel they are the boss.

I have heard this statement many times from female bosses, “I am the boss here“. I will be like sorry ma, we know you are the boss.

Female bosses are always like this, it just depends on you to know how to handle them and make them develop a special kind of likeness for you.

You can achieve this by showing that you care about them despite their toxic attitude towards you at work. You can also engage them in discussions about their personal development and family.

Once a female boss get to like you, forget it you will so much enjoy the work environment

Working With Male Bosses

Most times male bosses posses more emotionally intelligent than female bosses.

Although male bosses most times expect lots of commitments to work and they are always readily available to appreciate you depending on your level of commitment.

A male boss can take you out to the club, flex together and in most cases mentor you on work-related and non-work related stuff.

While you flex and enjoy praises from a Male boss, one little show of less commitment to work can earn you a query or get you off the company.

A working atmosphere with a Male boss seems to be a more relaxed one than that of a Female boss and of course, male bosses are nicer to female workers than male.

I know for a fact that being a good leader or a good boss has little to do with gender but if you must choose one between a male or female boss, who would you choose?
